The Strategic Leader

The Strategic Leader

Essentials of Strategic Thinking

“The lens through which leaders view the world can help or hinder their ability to make good strategic decisions, especially during crises.”

– Rosabeth Moss Kanter

Have you thought about how you see the world? As a leader, how you see and understand the world has a profound impact on your organization.  Whether you know it or not, you have a lens through which you see and understand the world and it informs your decision-making.

Business schools and others teach strategic planning and process.  We have noticed that what often gets missed is development of a personal strategic mindset. Such perspective enables skilled professionals to make better, more strategic decisions.

In making effective decisions, leaders must be able to hold an understanding of the big picture while simultaneously ensuring the day to day work of the organization.  The ability to navigate in this paradox requires development of your own leadership “zoom lens”.

In This Workshop You Can Expect to:

  • Explore the essentials for becoming a more strategic thinker
  • Develop your own personal strategic mindset capabilities as you apply strategic framing to your work, function, business or organization
  • Learn to use simple visual thinking tools to better understand, organize and communicate
  • Design goals that drive organization vitality and competitive advantage
